About the event

About the band…

Former volunteer firefighter turned fashion model turned country artist, Stephanie Ryann is  a woman who's got something to say from her storyteller lyrics to the  way she empowers women through her songs. Ryann's unique vocal stylings  showcase her influences from country, pop, and rock music which got her  compared to the likes of Ashley McBryde and Sara Evans by her  listeners.

The New England native is no stranger to the music  industry, spending most of her late teens and early 20’s auditioning for  TV shows such as American IdolNashville Star, and The Voice to  assist in jump-starting her career. When that proved to be more of a  dead end than an open road, Ryann looked to friends and fellow musicians  Eliot Lewis (of the legendary pop duo Hall & Oates) and  Kevin Totoian to help forge her own path into the music industry. In  late 2018, Ryann released her debut, self-titled, EP and has been  releasing singles ever since.

According to Music and Tour News“Stephanie Ryann is set to become one of the genre's most revered artists,” and with a catalog boasting over 400,000 streams across platforms, it's  not hard to understand why. Ryann has had the privilege of sharing a  stage with several fellow artists, including Cole Swindell, Tenille Arts, Jackson Dean, Morgan Myles, and more.  Stephanie Ryann has been featured on an impressive list of media outlets including CMT, Celeb Secrets, Digital Journal, NY"s 94.7, and BCMA and has been named "Artist of the Year" by The Wood Music and awarded "2020 Song of the Year"  by Rt 66 Country Music. Ryann has also been named “One to Watch” several times by NSAI (Nashville Songwriter’s Association).

While  COVID-19 shut down most of the music industry, Ryann took the  opportunity to hone her songwriting skills and teach herself guitar.  With a new skill under her belt, a new side of Ryann began to shine with  the release of songs like her COVID-inspired single, “Nights Like These”, and her fierce female anthem, "I Should". "Learning  guitar completely changed my approach to songwriting. It opened my eyes  (and ears) to a whole new side of myself and I'm leaning into that with  everything I've got," says Ryann. Delivering over 100 livestreams  concerts with various media outlets including radio stations, music  venues, and online festivals, Ryann shows no signs of slowing down  anytime soon.

About our venue…

Sterlingtown Public House opened in springtime of 2019 just months before the whole world was turned on its head. The Beer Garden at Sterlingtown was created in 2020 at the height of the pandemic. We poured every penny we had into purchasing the overgrown, neighboring lot and transforming it, with our bare hands, into a beer garden as a way to continue serving our community, safely. At the time, it was truly our only chance at survival. Once the dust settled, we realized not only did we have a dreamy beer garden dining space but also the most magical outdoor music venue.

We eased into our live music events towards the tail end of summer 2020, with a lineup of just four concerts and extremely limited attendance capacity (max. 30 guests), each show sold out. Over the past couple years we have taken the bull by the horns. We constructed a beautiful sunset stage in spring of 2022 and hosted our first full blown, twelve-show, concert series. To preserve the consistency of our restaurant operations, these shows are scheduled outside of our normal operating hours. All concerts in our 2023 season will take place on a Monday evening, every Monday evening, that is.

We prioritize bringing some of the most well-known and talented Maine-born bands to Union. Bringing these bands to our small, Midcoast town is no easy task but the joy that comes of these evenings is so rewarding and motivating.

A note to our past and future attendees… This year, we are shifting things slightly to allow for even more guests to enjoy these evenings. Every concert will take place on a Monday evening. To ensure more seamless concert operations and concentrate focus on the music, our kitchen will not be operating during the show. FEAR NOT, we are excited to announce that we will be opening our dining room 3:00pm-6:00pm for a pre-show dinner with our full menu available. Dinner and a show?? No problem! Enjoy a proper dinner before the show begins. Quick snacks and plenty of beer,  wine, cider & mead will be available at our outdoor bar throughout the entire show as well.
