About Us
We are a young restaurant with emphasis on upscale comfort cuisine, craft beverages and outdoor dining. We offer takeout as well as indoor and outdoor dining on the bustling downtown common of Union, Maine. We are currently open Wednesday through Sunday. We have a small, close-knit team and a generally fast-paced work environment. We are in search of the perfect candidate to round out our team and play a key roll in the establishment and growth of our business.
The Position
We are looking for an experienced line cook with energy, imagination, a passion for food and a desire to learn new techniques. This individual will be ready and equipped to take on responsibility in the back of house. A dedication to personal and professional growth will be crucial.
Said responsibilities include, but are not limited to preparing, cooking and presenting food to our guests, working with the team to develop weekly specials, learning all stations on the line (fry, grill, salad) as well as maintaining organization and cleanliness to the highest level. This individual will be working closely with our small, energetic team and must be able to listen and communicate well.
Compensation
Pay for this position will be hourly and based on experience (starting at $17-$19/hr + tips). This position is also eligible for our competitive benefits package, including health, dental and vision coverage. Full-time team members receive all federal holidays off, paid vacation and weekly direct deposit. The ideal candidate should have evening and weekend availability and be well- equipped to work a full 40 hour work week.
